A birth chart is a map of our personality created from the moment of our birth. It describes the most visible aspects of our personality, as well as the aspects we keep more hidden or private - our deepest motivations, longings, hopes and fears.
Imagine a house with many rooms. Some rooms may be open, warm and welcoming, and others may be locked away to us - until we find the key and switch on the light. In the same way, a birth chart can reveal parts of ourselves that feel instantly familiar and comforting, and other parts we have kept in the dark, but now want to embrace, transform, or at least, get to know better!

For example, the warrior planet Mars, representing drive and ambition, acts very differently in fiery Aries compared to sensitive, nurturing Cancer. Mars also acts differently in different houses - in some houses, it can manifest with brilliance and strength, but in others, it can feel smothered, feable, or even just angry.
I look at repeating patterns in your chart - tight aspects between planets, asteroids and fixed point stars to read the energy of your chart and personality. No one placement tells the whole story and the chart must be seen as a whole.
